ABOUT MANDIE
Mandie's pragmatic and functional approach to health and well-being, are built upon the complexities of her lived experiences. Some of these challenges has entailed, neonatal loss, C-ptsd, major surgeries, autoimmune conditions and neurodivergence.
With each significant life health event, a Pandora's box opened, leading her to question the 'Origin' of circumstances and the root causes of 'dis-ease'. Mandie chose to harness her intuitive knowledge of the mind-body connection by pursuing formal vocational qualifications and training. She continues to advance her personal and professional development in modalities in research and in the fields of Developmental Trauma, Neuroscience, and Health Psychology. Her continued commitment to her own learning brings clients the latest insights and tools effective for behaviour change; having gained her Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders & Obesity with the National Centre of Eating Disorders (NCFED). As an integrative practitioner; a foundation of counselling skills, psychological & nutritional therapies, teaching and coaching; she employs evidence-based practices and expertise across all her work. Above all, she is relatable, possesses the ability to put you at ease, and acts as your greatest supporter in her role as a therapeutic coach. By meeting individuals where they are at, she ensures that their unique needs are addressed effectively. Drawing upon a diverse range of disciplines in her work and advocacy, she is able to provide holistic support that promotes overall well-being and growth. My practice includes helping adults with learning disabilities, and neurodivergent individuals with a variety of complex health needs; who want to improve their health and wellness, by reducing overwhelm and anxiety to their health and wellness challenges. With meaningful ways that support living life well; one small step at a time. Noughties: With a lifelong passion for health and wellbeing, Mandie has a diverse background that includes being a former Beauty & Body Massage Therapist, Micropigmentation Practitioner, and various roles in Further Education and Corporate Retail Management.
Current and Ongoing experience: Since 2013: transitioned her career into Specialist Learning Disability, Autism; Adult Social Care Sector. Providing specialist residential and supported living services for Complex Health and Behaviours that Challenge. Since 2015: SEND Home Educator; Functional Skills English & Maths, & Life Skills Coach. 2023+: Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in NHS Adult Learning Disabilities, Health & Social Care, and Private Practice sectors. Mandie's career pursuits are driven by her unique combination of skills, experiences, and purpose. In addition to her practical knowledge, she continually engages in supervision and mentorship with leading experts in the field of nutrition and eating disorders. |

Trauma-Informed, her work and advocacy is based upon the biopsychosocial model. Mandie, with her lived experience of neurodivergence, embodies an approach that actively embraces and uplifts individuals who are also neurodivergent. With great empathy, Mandie genuinely listens and comprehends the difficulties and obstacles that neurodivergent individuals encounter on a day-to-day basis.
